Future Ocean Foods, a new global seafood association dedicated to supporting and accelerating the alternative seafood industry, was recently unveiled with an impressive inaugural membership base of 36 companies across 14 countries, including the United States, Canada, the UK and Singapore. Wicked Kitchen is proud to be a founding partner of this groundbreaking organization with our co-founder, Chad Sarno as a representative. “We’re clearly taking more from the oceans than they can give,” says Chad. “The only real sustainable seafood is made from plants and we want to continue being part of the solution that keeps fish off our plates and in our oceans.” Spanning plant-based foods, fermented foods, and cultivated foods and technology, Future Ocean Foods members are united in their mission to promote food security, human health, environmental sustainability and ocean conservation. Future Ocean Foods is also dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion with 40% of its member base comprised of women founders.
