Christmas Eve Vegan Feast of The Seven Fishes

Italians often spend Christmas Eve feasting on a meal of at least seven different kinds of seafood before midnight Mass. This sprawling meal stems from religious traditions of abstaining from meat on the day before Christmas. We’re totally down with abstaining from meat. And our family roots are Italian. That’s why we like to honor this holiday tradition with a completely delicious, completely plant-based Feast of the Seven Fishes.

We grew up in New England loving seafood. But overfishing is decimating our oceans at breakneck speed. We’re clearly taking more than they can give, and the oceans could use a break. To be part of the solution, we’ve developed all kinds of flavor-loaded vegan “seafood” dishes, from New England Lobster Pie made with briny, chewy-soft lobster mushrooms to creamy Crab Linguini made with our Good Catch New England-Style Crab Cakes. This year, celebrate the Feast of Seven Fishes with some of our favorite plant-based seafood recipes. The oceans will thank you—so will your taste buds. Merry Christmas!
