Since the release of THE WICKED HEALTHY COOKBOOK here in the states on May 8, we’ve been overwhelmed with the response and support from friends, family and fans—old and new. Our three-year journey to create this cookbook and see our vision come to life over the past couple of weeks has been wicked amazing and more than we could have ever imagined!
Our guiding force along the way has and always will be to empower people with the tools, guidance and inspiration to create delicious + innovative food that’s #freefromanimals. Holding this cookbook in our hands and seeing it be of benefit to people and the animals has been a wild ride—and we’re so grateful for every minute of it.
Earlier this month, we gathered some of our favorite Austin-based (and beyond) friends to celebrate at The Beer Plant for some Wicked Healthy bites & cocktails. Thanks to everyone who came out and showed support and tried some wicked bites from the book, like our Samurai Sliders (page 116 in the book), King Satay with Spicy Peanut-Ginger Sauce (page 70 in the book) and Corn Dumplings in Coconut Corn Broth (page 87 in the book), as well as some wicked cocktails created by our brother, Darren, like the Stubborn Ass (page 257) and Citrus and Spice (page 252).
Please check out our Events page for upcoming signings and demos, our Press page for antics and coverage you may have missed, and follow us on Facebook for regular updates!
So grateful that the other Sarno brother, Darren, made it over from Maui for the launch. Stay tuned for more cocktail inspiration on the site soon.
Thanks to our co-author, David Joachim, for coming down and hanging out!
Nice to see John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Market, and our dear friend and mentor, Margaret Wittenberg (formally the head of quality standards at Whole Foods)!
Shout out to our good friend David Rice of People, Plates and Planet for taking all of the photos that evening, and his son Judah on music! Hanging out with his wife and our good friend Lisa, as well as our Wicked Healthy Content Ninja, Erin.
If you are at The Beer Plant, be sure to drop by Rabbit Food Grocery for vegan merch … they are right around the corner!
Always great to see our friend Heidi Lovig, of Heidi Ho!
Wicked thanks to everyone who has supported the cookbook! Lots of love, Chad and Derek—The Sarno Brothers.
