wicked jalapeno burger

Grilling season is here! Fire it up with a Wicked take on the “Bruce Lee Burger” that’s popular in America (TGI Fridays has one). This sandwich is so simple we hesitate to even write out the recipe. But here you go!

  • Author: Wicked
  • Total Time: 20 mins
  • Yield: 1 burger 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Wicked KitchenTM Jalapeno Burgers
  • 2 slices vegan cheddar cheez
  • 1 vegan burger bun
  • 2 Tbsp Wicked KitchenTM Garlic Mayo With Caramelized Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Wicked KitchenTM Sriracha Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp thinly sliced pickles or cucumbers
  • 3 Tbsp Wicked KitchenTM Asian Style BBQ Sauce
  • Handful of shredded lettuce or Firecracker Coleslaw

Instructions

  1. Fire up a grill for medium heat. Use charcoal for more smoke flavor!
  2. Grill the burgers until nicely browned on both sides, about 15 minutes total, turning once or twice.
  3. After the last turn, lay a slice of cheeze on each burger and let it melt (covering the grill helps melt the cheeze, or use a disposable aluminum pan as a makeshift lid).
  4. While you’re at it, toast the bun on the cooler part of the grill just until lightly browned.
  5. Spread some garlic mayo on your bottom bun (hey now!). The spread some sriracha over the mayo. Boom—it’s sriracha mayo!
  6. Now build that burger: Start with a layer of pickles on the bottom bun, then a cheesy Jalapeno Burger patty, then add a glug of Asian Style BBQ Sauce, then another cheesy Jalapeno Burger patty. Add some shredded lettuce or Asian slaw, some more Asian Style BBQ Sauce, then finally crown that champ with the toasted top bun.
  7. Now get after it! Lay into that brawny sandwich like the grill hero you are—no killing necessary!

Notes

Extra points: Grill a whole jalapeno and skewer it to the top!
