Black Vinaigrette

Look for black vinegar in Asian markets. It’s aged, which gives it a dark color and somewhat malty taste that makes a super-flavorful dipping sauce for dumplings. Try it with our Smoked Tofu and Spinach Dumplings!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup/60 ml Chinese black vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp finely sliced green onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk or shake everything together in a small bowl or jar. Use immediately or chill in the fridge for up to 2 days.
